I have always wanted to go skydiving, however, fear gets the best of me sometimes, and I figured I would start small to get my courage up. I have a tradition with a friend that every year for my birthday we try a new experience. This year we decided to try indoor skydiving. We went to iFly, and I have to say I had the best time. Purchasing tickets was pretty easy. You go online, find your day and timeslot and select the additional add-ons you want to purchase. I opted to do the high fly option because I’m a daredevil. Go big or go home.

We arrived about 10 minutes early for check-in and headed upstairs. The cool thing about iFly is you can watch sessions in real-time before your actual session. There is a short instructional video, and your guide demonstrates the proper position for the wind tunnel. You then get your gear: a jumpsuit, earplugs, glasses, and helmet. IT’S TIME TO GO!!!! You enter the holding area where you sit and watch everyone take their turn. You get two 1 minute sessions, which at first I thought was too short, but when you get inside, and the wind hits your face, 1 minute is just enough time. When your team session is over, you get your certificate of completion. Overall, it was a great experience that I would do again.
